High Judge Toxic Ninja is sitting at a stone desk in a dark chamber with a single magical light floating above it. In front of him lie the rules for the tournament. He taps his fingers as he looks over the parchment, making sure the rules are decisive and have no mistakes. The messy desk has parchments scattered all over it, and a single ink well with a feather in it.
Sreggad walks up to the table from the other side and slams his fist on the table, the hard stone cracks under his might, he starts with fury in his voice, "I'm sick and tired of having to watch over games for these noobs, let me take part in the tournament, I need to fight again!" Toxic Ninja glances up from the document, he places his elbow on the table and rests his chin on his hand, "No, you agreed when you joined the council that this would be your job, you have to live with it." Sreggad knocks the feather and ink off of the High Judge's desk, "Don't fuck with me old man! I'm done with this council, I'm joining a clan and the tournament!" Toxic Ninja responds in a cold voice, "You already know what the prize is, I can't allow that." He rises from his chair, and places both palms on the surface of the table. Sreggad takes a step back and removes his robe, "I'm done, I quit the council, fuck your rules." He drops the robe to the ground, as it touches the smooth floor it burns instantly. Toxic Ninja looks down despondently and sighs, "Fine. I can't stop you from leaving the council, but you can't join the tournament." "Watch me," Sreggad mutters as he turns around to leave. As he walks into the darkness of the room, towards the exit, his feet are locked in place, he struggles against the purple energy rings surrounding his feet and calls out, "let go of me Turpin!" From the shadows behind Toxic Turpin steps out, his scepter glowing. "Place a spell on him preventing him from joining a clan to play in the tournament until the teams are decided," Toxic says as he turns to walk into the shadows where Turpin came from. "But he has his uses, can I have him for some experiments?" Turpin replies, grinning with the sick snarl of a mad witchdoctor. "No, just bind him," Toxic says with a tone of disgust. A gold ring surrounds the scepter and Sreggad's wrists, it tightens around the wrists until only a golden chain-like marking is left. "To hell with both of you, don't be surprised if I come back with an army to slay you," Sreggad says as the magic around his feet dissipates, he walks into the shadows. The High Judge puts his hood up and walks into the shadows opposite of Sreggad and speaks, "put the rules in the announcement chamber, I need to rest." "We're down to 3 judges, what if what he said is true, and he comes back to attack us?" Turpin asks. "Then we're dead, we don't have the power to fight off an army. There's a form on my desk with notice that we're looking for new judges, post it beside the tournament rules," Toxic replies as he disappears into the shadows. Turpin walks up to the desk and picks up the judge notice, he grins and quietly says, "Would be a shame if this were to get lost, the council is nearly defenseless with so few judges." His hand glows red, he throws the parchment in the air and shoots a small fireball at it from his fingertips. It burns as it falls to the ground, leaving nothing but ashes that are scattered by a stiff wind flowing through the stone halls. "Whoops," Turpin says as he grins and picks up the rules for the tournament. He walks into the darkness, laughing, a laugh that only a madman could pull off this perfectly. _________________
