whether or not you care, the size of the islands matter.

In this post *or series of posts*, I will attempt to add to you details about ITT that may help with playing certain classes, etc.

Click to see full size image

Above is a general map of ITT that I will be referencing. In order to find out the general size of an island, we need to know a few points and regions for reference.
Points (x,y)
Point A=(-9900,9286)
Point B=(-1300,8900)
Point C=(-170,9000)
Point D=(9000,9000)
Point E=(9000,215)
Point F=(450,400)
Point G=(900,3700)
Point H=(-1000,3000)
Point I=(-400,830)
Poing J=(-9300,1200)
Point K=(-9200,120)
Point L=(-4000,250)
Point M=(400,2550)
Point N=(3215,70)
Point O=(-70,-3200)
Point P=(-2300,-9500)
Point Q=(-9600,-9500)
Point R=(1100,-8600)
Point S=(1444,-4366)
Point T=(3750,-1800)
Point U=(9000,-800)
Point V=(9000,-9200)

As far as the NW Region:
Yellow region composed of A,B,H, forming roughly a rectangle.
A=l x w, w~8600,l~7000
A~6.02X10^7

Green region composed of triangle H, I.
A=1/2 x b x h, b~3000, h~2200
A~3.3x10^6

Purple Region rectangle, composed of square J,I
A=l x w, w~5300, l~2100
A~1.113x10^7

Total Landmass approximately:
4.5x10^7

Northeast island

Orange region, rectange, composed of G, C, D
A=l x w, w~9200, l~5300
A~4.867x10^7

Green crescent area, composed of G, F
In order to determine this, we take the area of 1/4 of a circle, and subtract that from the area of a square of that size *roughly*
This one is most likely going to be th least precise, but oh well...
A=(l x w) - (pi * r^2 * 1/4), l~3450, w~3450, r ~1/2 W, r~1700
A=(3450 x 3450) - (pi * 1700^2 * 1/4)
A~9.63x10^6

Purple rectange, composed of E, F
A=l x w, l~4500, w~3300
A=1.49x10^7

Total landmass approximately:
A~7.32x10^7

Southeast island

The greenish area is actually composed of a triangle and rectange, i just got lazy.
A~(1/2 x b x h) + (l x w), b~2350, h~2500, l~2500, w~5250
A~1.61x10^7

Purple region containing a rectangle, containing R, S and V
A=l x w, l~8900, w~4300
A~3.82x10^7

Total Landmass approximately:
5.42x10^7

More to come, as I need a break, ugh
WIll update SW island, and size comparisons, as well as hints about using item warp *maybe* and others

Ah, I still frown on the river. Might be because I don't like change.

i dunno if river was quite the best change for this. possibly make the alligator islands bigger to be more like small island bases.

the scout bushes are possibly the most easiest things to find, as u can not see them in your vision but once you explore an area, and then leave it if you look back on the map u can see the scout bushes positions .... or you could just run around revealing everywhere either way Razz

the river on island was quite an interesting change, it changes massively within one version and was sudden for many players spoiling some bases etc... but to be fair i like the change as it creates new bases, new tactics and also to be educated with the islands again. Also it benefited new players when 2.34 was released as old players and new players did not really know what to expect of island one, so new players did not have a problem adjusting to the change, where as older players had some time to become familiar, but after several days/weeks after the release it has just become the normal

wow a long comment for you -)
