High Judge Toxic Ninja walks through the round meeting chamber, heading for the senate war room to post a new note, he is closely followed by judge Plox J33bus, carrying the swhiriling orb. Both are robed with their hoods up.

"Stop!" someone shouts across the chamber. Two trolls approach carrying a figure trapped in a net. Behind them representative corrosive.

"I believe this is yours" corrosive says, as the two trolls throw the net on the ground infront of the judges.

"What is this?" Toxic asks. "Judge Turpin," corrosive responds.

Plox lifts his orb, and a wave of energy pulses off of it. The red pulse of energy burns through the net on contact. Judge Turpin stands up, naked, and yells, "They stole my scepter, I demand it back." "He tried to destroy twgb!" Corrosive retorts.

"Don't bother arguing here, we will deal with this the only fair way. Follow me." Toxic says as he turns to the door opposite of the senate war room. He begins to walk, everyone in the group follows. The door opens as Toxic approaches. All the trolls standing in the round chamber look towards it, as this is the first time anyone has had a chance to see inside.

The doors reveal a large court room, with 5 Judge's chairs overlooking a two sections for the arguing parties and rows of benches for spectators. The only thing perculiar about it, a large ring drawn on the ground in the middle of the court room. Everybody stops to gaze at the beautiful stone room.

"Corrosive, the left section, turpin, the right." Toxic says as he walks ahead, plox quickly behind him. "Sigh," Turpin responds, "I was hoping I wouldn't have to deal with a trial today, I am pretty tired after all." "And naked," Plox says as he walks by. His crystal swhrisl and green energy surrounds Turpin. A cloth shirt and pants are formed on Turpin. "Thanks plox, but I was fine with the naked," Turpin responds with a laugh. Plox grunts and walks to one of the judge's chairs. Toxic follows to the middle chair and sits down. Corrosive and Turpin walk to their respective sections and sit in the chairs there. The remaining twgb guards sit in the spectator section behind Corrosive. A few other trolls from other clans walk in and sit down in the spectator sections, including a few notable clan leaders.

"We call to order the trial of Corrosive v. Turpin. This is in order to find out if Corrosive was within his right to detain Judge Turpin, and to discover the events that unfolded leading to Turpin's detention." Toxic says, and continues, "Corrosive, tell your side of the story first."

"4 days ago one of my scouts reported that Turpin was seen heading towards the twgb island via a transport boat. He arrived 3 days ago, being a judge we gave him right of free movement through our lands as he claimed to be on official bussiness. That day 4 twgb members disappeared. The next day 12 members disappeared and a search party lead to discovering turpin was commiting diablerist magics on the trolls, mind controlling them. The rest of the clan fought the 16 mind controlled trolls to death, with heavy losses on our side, eventually subduing turpin. His robe disintegrated as we removed it, and we managed to take the scepter from him." Corrosive says, as he lifts the scepter out of his jacket,"We took the next day to transport him here.". The crowd chatters amongst itself and the high judge slams his Gavel. "Enough of those lies, let me tell my side of the story," Turpin protests. "The council recognizes Turpin, tell your side," Toxic says.

"I was going to the twgb lands to ask if their list for the tournament was completed, being they haven't been around the council rooms since the note was posted. Upon arriving to the twgb lands I was ambushed by these... brutish criminals from the twgb clan. I took down a few of them myself, but they managed to get the best of me. When they tried to steal my robe it was destroyed, obviously, and the idiots couldn't figure out how to use the scepter, so they realized I was worth nothing to them. They presented me to their brute leader and he was upset with them because he wanted to win the tournament without pissing off the council. Now I'm here as a cheap ploy to make it seem like they didn't do anything wrong. I want them removed from the tournament for this injustice." Turpin rants, crossing his arms and looking down at corrosive. The crowd chatters again, meriting another gavel slam from High Judge Toxic.

"We have heard both stories, the known evidence fits both of them. We will resolve this with a council vote. Stay seated." Toxic says as he and plox rise. The stone wall behind them opens, and the two step inside. The false wall closes again, and the spectators chatter. After a few minutes the two step back out and sit down. The crowd becomes silent, waiting for the verdict. "The vote is a tie," Plox says. The crowd starts chattering loudly, nobody has every seen a trial so everyone wonders how ties are dealt with. Toxic slams his gavel and everyone becomes silent. Toxic begins, "There is only one way to deal with this, trial by blood." The crowd starts up again, meriting a few more gavel slams. "Corrosive, Turpin, please rise and stand in the circle in the middle. Corrosive, the scepter is property of the council, please return it." Corrosive places the scepter infront of the judge and stands across from Turpin in the circle.

Plox lifts the scepter, lifts it up above his head, and a mystical energy ring encircles it. The red ring in the middle of the room beings to glow. "The ring will dissipate when one of you dies. What weapons do you want?" Toxic asks. "Woah I don't want to fight," Corrosive replies. "It's too late, you have challenged Turpin, if you are not willing to stand by your story in blood and death, then you lose the trial, and are thrown out of the tournament." Toxic responds coldly. "Fine, then I'll take an axe and a shield." Corrosive responds. Plox's crystal resonates with energy, and the shield and axe are formed in corrosive's hands. "I want the scepter," Turpin states. "Forbidden, until these proceedings are done you are not a part of the council." Toxic responds. "Fine, give me two axes then," Turpin responds begrudgingly. The crystal resonates again, and a pair of axes are formed in turpin's hands.

Toxic bangs his gavel and states, "You may begin."

Turpin quickly jumps at corrosive, striking with both axes in mid air. Corrosive blocks them with his shield and trys to retaliate with his axe. Turpin kicks off the shield and leaps back to avoid the axe. "This will be easy, you have nothing compared to me." Turpin states, smirking. He lifts his finger to make a gun shape with his hand, he aims it and corrosive and shoots off a few fireballs. Corrosive blocks them with his shield, but the wood and steel start to burn and warp. He charges Turpin, and swings with his axe. Turpin jumps to the side and swings for the shield. It's destroyed in a single hit now that it's warn down. Corrosive's arm takes serious damage, the molten shards of steel spray across his body, leaving painful welts. He quickly does a spin and slams at Turpin with full force of his axe, hitting one of Turpin's axes out of his hand, sending it flying towards the edge of the ring. As it hits the boarded its instantly disintegrated. Corrosive spins around again, but this time Turpin evades. Turpin forms a ball of null energy and shoots it from his palm at corrosive, hitting him in the arm that was just injured, crushing the bone inside of it. "Why do you keep fighting," Turpin asks Corrosive,"You don't stand a chance, just give up, you never could beat me." "You're wrong, I'll never give up." Corrosive yells as he bleeds all over the ring. "Oh? And why not?" Turpin asks. Corrosive smirks and looks up at him, blood streaming down his face from the steel shards, "Because you taught me never to give up." Turpin freezes. Corrosive jumps at him, taking a powerful swing that's evaded, but he continues charging, to each location that Turpin evades to. Each attack getting faster, more powerful. As he misses, he hits the floor and it splits, he keeps going, destroying the circle with every powerful slam. Turpin evades and evades but finally, his foot is caught on the uneven ground that Corrosive has created, sending him flying. Corrosive charges Turpin as he falls to the ground, and smiles, "I always went easy on you." Turpin's eyes widen, he is struck from the air with a single mighty slash that splits him in half. Before the halves of the body hit the ground the turn to ash, along with the blood. A mighty wind scatters him.

Corrosive falls to one knee, the circle stops glowing, the fight is over.
The judges step down to tend to him. "Will you live?" Toxic asks. "Yeah, but I won't be able to fight in the tournament like this," Corrosive responds. Toxic nods, looks up at the spectators and states, "Corrosive wins the trial by blood. The spectators applaud and cheer, wondering which story really was true.

"Now there's a new problem. With only 2 judges we won't be able to hold the tournament. I am postponing it until further ..." Toxic stops. The courtroom doors swing open, and a figure in a plain robe walks in. "I request to be a judge." The figure says, dropping his hood. "...The architect." Toxic states in a slight shock, "Welcome to the council Judge RocketRusty." The spectators turn to him in a shock. Corrosive, still injured, looks up at Toxic and asks, "What about the tournament?" Toxic smiles and helps him up, "The tournament will continue as planned!" The spectators cheer as the new judge approaches Toxic and Plox with a smile. "Glad to have you on board," Toxic says to Rusty as he reaches him. "Glad to be on board," Rusty responds. Toxic hands corrosive to his guards, and the three judges walk out of the court room. Corrosive looks at them and smirks. The tournament continues as planned, despite a bit of a rough patch, and a few injuries. But why did rusty show up? What are his motives? Why would he join the council out of the blue? Questions to be answered in the next chapter of The Great Tournament Saga!

Except for the fact that you write in present time, instead of past and a couple of spelling errors I very much enjoyed this story. We need more drama for this saga!

I do that so everybody feels like they're the spectators in the story.

Oh shush, you know you want it.

It's not really up to me or anything, I'm just used to reading in past time, and I'm sure there is a reason for so many authors to do it. Personally I feel there would be a better smoothness to the story. PS: It's RocketRusty not RustyRocket Smile

Thanks. And I stick by my reasoning, also past tense makes fights seem weird.
